Internal Medicine Physician (BE/BC)

Location: Newport, VT
Immediate opening for an Internal Medicine Physician (BE/BC) in the northern area of Vermont.  
  • 20 provider multi-specialty practice in two locations with, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Family Medicine staffed currently with 12 physicians (5 IM, 1 Med-peds, 1 geriatrician, 5 FP’s) and 8 mid-levels (2 PA’s, 6 FNP’s)
  • Clinic work is 4 patient contact days and one administrative day per week. 
  • Medicine call is phone call only averaging 1/7. 
  • Additionally, hospitalist shifts can be done for more reimbursement at a competitive rate.

Responsibilities of the Internal Medicine Physician (BE/BC):
  • Provide long term care for adults and elderly. Diagnosis and provide non-surgical treatment of diseases and injuries.

Requirements of the Internal Medicine Physician (BE/BC):
  • Post residency acceptable in Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible in medical specialty

 Located in northern Vermont, serves a catchment area of 28,000, spread across three counties in northern Vermont on the Canadian border.  They are a fiscally sound, up-to-date facility with 25 active beds.  The hospital carries the federal designation of a Critical Access Hospital.
