Nurse Director Emergency and Trauma Services

Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Great opportunity for a Nurse Director of Emergency and Trauma Services in the Palm Beach area of Florida.

Responsibilities of the Nurse Director of Emergency and Trauma Services
  • This position will oversee a 20 Bed Level 1 Trauma Center with 70,000 visits per year.
  • Patients are high acuity with a large volume of penetrating wounds (gun and knife).
  • They also get a fair amount of Stroke and Psych patients.
  • The position has 2 Managers reporting to it; One over the Adult ED and the other over Trauma Services.
  • RN staff is unionized.

Requirements of the Nurse Director of Emergency and Trauma Services
  • Bachelors Degree minimal in Nursing; advanced degree in health care related field preferred
  • FL RN License required
  • Leader with at least 5 years experience leading a Trauma Designated Emergency Department in an Acute Care Hospital environment. 
  • Prefer experience working in a unionized environment but not required.
  • We need someone who has the proven ability to engage  staff and physicians
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association)
  • CPI within 30 days of hire
  • NIH Stroke within 60 days of hire
  • TNCC within 180 days of hire
This facility is an acute care hospital that provides medical, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric, trauma and emergency services to a five-county area in FL.
