RN-Director of Women's Services and Perinatal

Location: Paso Robles, CA
Great opportunity for a RN-Director of Women's Services and Perinatal in a quiet central coast town in California, 30 minutes from the coast, 25 minutes from the San Luis Obispo area.

Responsibilities of the RN-Director of Women's Services and Perinatal​:
  • The role of the Registered Nurse Supervisor is to support the Wellness Center by providing leadership, supervision, training and assistance to those that provide direct provider support. 
  • Included in this group are Certified Medical Assistants, Panel Management Assistants, Intake Specialist, and Nurse Case Managers. 
  • This position works closely with healthcare providers to ensure that they are fully supported by the support roles this position supervises. 
  • This position will also support triage, physical examination, and medical interventions. 
  • The RN Supervisor serves as Immunization Coordinator and provides training and ensures competency for the proper administration, storage and handling of all vaccinations.
  • Coordinate training and leadership of Certified Medical Assistants, Panel Management Assistants, Intake Specialist, and Nurse Case Managers. regarding basic medical and clerical procedures before and after examination including but not limited to taking of vital signs, medical history update, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, recording of EKG"s, dressing changes, medication administration and dispensing per provider orders, immunization administration, scheduling patient appointments and procedures, and documentation of care in health record, and coordination of care.

Requirements of the RN-Director of Women's Services and Perinatal​​:
  • 2 years of current leadership experience in this specialty
  • 3 years of acute care RN experience in this specialty.
  • Our client is only considering those with a BSN
  • OB experience
  • Hands on Director... steps in when needed with patients
  • Experience working in a for profit environment
  • Experienced with meeting department goals related to JCAHO compliance, adherence to DHS standards, Commitment to Quality, Continuous Performance Improvement, and Electronic Medical Records
  • Experience with operational and capital department budgets to make a department run as efficiently as possible. It is a plus if you know LEAN practices.
  • It is a plus if you have experience working in a Union environment
  • Current California RN license,
  • AHA-BLS-HCP
  • ACLS
