Ultrasound Supervisor

Location: Yakima, WA
Great opportunity for an Ultrasound Supervisor in the southwestern area of Washington.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership to assist the staff as the department continues to grow.

Relocation and/or sign on bonus possible for the right person. 
 
The responsibilities of the Ultrasound Supervisor:
  • Supervise employees in the performance of Imaging Procedures/Cath Lab Procedures.  
  • The supervisor is responsible for maintaining quality standards regarding the care and handling of patients in age specific categories within scope of practice; maintenance of accurate records and statistics, care and upkeep of equipment and work progress of the staff.
  • The supervisor is also expected to perform examinations and maintain competencies within their area of expertise and scope of practice.  

Requirements of the Ultrasound Supervisor:
  • Associate’s Degree Required.  Bachelor’s Degree Preferred; Education through an accredited allied health institution: 
  • CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs) in collaboration with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS)
  • Required current certifications for assigned modality are as follows:
  • Ultrasound:     ARDMS- Physics, Abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT. 
  •     Mammography Ultrasound: ARDMS- BR
  •     Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound: ARDMS- NT 
  • 3-5 years technologist experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Lifesaving (BLS) certification card required.

This facility is an acute-care, nonprofit community hospital that has served Central Washington's Yakima valley.
This area is one of the largest cities in Washington State.  Its economy has always revolved around agriculture.  Outdoor recreation includes water and snow skiing, fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, and white water rafting.   The climate in this area is often described as a semi-arid desert often boasting about its 300 days of sunshine each year and 4 distinct seasons.
